The EasyWallpapers Licence
Last updated July 25, 2026
This is a template written for this site’s specific setup. It has not been reviewed by a lawyer. Have a solicitor check it before you rely on it, particularly the liability and copyright sections.
Every wallpaper on this site is released under the licence below. It is deliberately short: if people cannot tell at a glance what they are allowed to do, they either do nothing or do the wrong thing.
What you can do
- Use wallpapers on any device you own, personally or at work.
- Use them in commercial projects, including client work.
- Modify, crop, recolour and remix them.
- Use them without crediting anyone.
No payment, no account, no attribution required. Credit is always appreciated by the people who made the work, and never demanded.
What you cannot do
- Resell the wallpaper itself. You may not sell, licence or redistribute a wallpaper as a standalone file or as part of a wallpaper pack, app or collection whose main value is the images.
- Build a competing service from them. You may not scrape this site to create a similar wallpaper library.
- Use identifiable people or property in a damaging way. A wallpaper licence is not a model release or a property release. If a photo shows a recognisable person, logo or private building, getting any additional permission is your responsibility.
- Imply endorsement. You may not suggest the creator or EasyWallpapers endorses you, your product or your views.
If you upload
You keep the copyright to everything you upload. Always. You are not signing your work over to us.
What you grant us is narrower than that:
- A worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, resize, convert and distribute your file so the site can function.
- Permission to release it to visitors under the terms above.
You confirm that you created the work or hold the rights to license it, and that sharing it here does not breach anyone else’s rights. Uploading someone else’s work is the single fastest way to get an account banned.
You can delete your uploads at any time. Doing so removes them from the site; it cannot recall copies people already downloaded, which is true of every image on the internet.
Changes
If this licence changes, the new version applies to wallpapers uploaded after the change. Anything already downloaded stays under the licence that applied when it was downloaded.
